IN VACANZA

The quartettino "ln Vacanza" ["On Holiday"], was composed in London in December of 1891, and it was dedicated and presented to the Pia Scuola Musicale di Bergamo, the most important school of music in Bergamo.
The piece was first performed by the best pupils of the Pia Scuola Musicale di Bergamo, and took place during the school's final examinations in the summer 1891.
Above the notes, in separate cello parts, I have included Piatti's few original annotations on fingerings; bowings, fingerings written under the notes and the text in brackets 'are all my suggestions.
