Alfredo Piatti (1822-1901) could be described as a
child prodigy, a virtuoso, a pioneer, an avant-garde and kindly man, and
a sensitive artist.
Not only was he a composer and an Italian virtuoso cellist, but also he
became a key person in the music scene in 19th century Europe.
We wish you, kind visitor, to discover in our pages the heritage of an
artist, who was not just satisfied to be an interpreter of music, but
became a forerunner of the modern style of cello playing.
